Unlimited Question

Having shot a rail for only a couple years now I was wondering , do most of you look after every shot? Or will you shoot your group if the conditions are staying the same with out looking.
I was having trouble with my rail moving until I put some good feet under it. That took care of that problem. Are you willing to give up some speed in perfect conditions that looking requires?

You MUST be able to trust your rail. If you have to adjust it after every few shots, it's just a overweight bag gun. With this said, I'll shoot as long as the condition holds without looking. I'm pretty sure most rail shooters feel the same.

I have always shot my best groups by shooting heads up, not looking through the scope and not touching the knobs. Like Dave said, "You MUST be able to trust your rail."

Can't add much to what has been said, you have to trust the Rail to do what a Rail is supposed to do, that being, offer true return to battery capability. Sort of difficult justifying lugging the darned thing around if it won't.

If I am having to "hunt and pick" in Unlimited, (not that uncommon in our Region), then I will look. But remember, if there is a lot of mirage, the sight picture can be differnt because of that rather than the platform shifting on the bench.

Trust your Rail. If you can't, fix what is wrong. If you can't, get another one........jackie
