I know they were advertised by Unertl as far back as 1949, and I believe they were available up to the point when they closed their doors. I checked some old Shooter's Bibles, and did not see any mention of the dehorned mounts in the '47-48 publications. However, that is not proof positive that they were not available in those years. I have a 1945 Unertl catalog that lists them, however the same catalog was reprinted numberous times up to 1957.
