Tuner contour

Hopefully someone is working on a reverse taper for centerfire right now.

I'm going back to regular barrels and no tuners. I think tuners like television and airplanes are just fads of the day and they too will pass.

Jerry, I know you better than that, and there is no way you can resist the temptation for further tuner experimentation. BR life would become too mundane in just shooting the traditional stuff, for you.

If you are like me, how much more additional work does it take to thread the last 2 inches of a barrel muzzle end while doing all of the other barrel chamber work............just in case the barrel doesnt shoot competitively without a tuner and traditional powder tuning methods..............all that you have to do is then screw on a tuner and try a few different settings to see if the barrel has a different and better vibration profile with a tuner, if it doesnt, pull the barrel and stick it in the not-competitive bucket, knowing that you have tried everything to make it competitive.............Don

We'll Know Shortly

When Jackie reports back in today we might find out that the old style tuners were too heavy and actually jumped over the correct weight.
You might need a lighter barrel to start with.

If only weight didn't matter...................

My LV/Sporters have alot of leeway weight wise to accomodate most tuners, and if not, a competitive tunered barrel could still be shot as a HV.......Don
