We started with gentle conditions at 100 progressing to some pretty sporty shooting at 200.
Only 2 shooters stayed clean for the Grand Agg.
Rick Fox did the usual great job on the match and lunch.
A fun day of shooting!

Grand Agg.
Jackie Stogsdill 500-29
Ron Jackson 500-26
Scotty Crawford 499-30

Ron Collins and Bob Poindexter also carried home some lovely TN Orange wood.

Here are a few pictures from today.
(this link won't last forever)

And a few attached.

Congratulations Jackie, It looks like you are on a roll again. Maybe this will be your year for a well deserved shooter of the year title, I can't think of anyone more deserving. Keep up the good shooting, Steve

Much thanks to all that came to the Tennessee State VFS match yesterday. It was a hot one, and as usual the real winner was the Gallatin wind. I got home around 8:30 last night and I know of at least one competitor that won't get back hone (to Florida) for at least a day or two.

100 yds
1-Ron Collins 250-24
2-Scotty Crawford 250-23
3-Ron Collins-250-23

200 yds
1-Ron Jackson 250-111
2-Jackie Stogsdil 250-9
3-Bob Poindexter 249-9

Grand Agg

1-Jackie Stogsdil 500-29
2-Ron Jackson 500-26
3-Scotty Crawford 499-30

BTW- Ron Jackson is a rookie and has only been shooting a rifle for about a year.

Great Match!!

I want to thank the Gallatin Gun Club for a great match. It was very well run and a beautiful range.I was looking at the equipment list on the IBS Site and found that I didn't have anything listed for equipment and there needs to be credit given where credit is due and beleive me the equipment out performed the shooter.

Action: Borden Rimrock
Stock: Robertson
Scope: Leupold 40
Trigger: Jewell
Bullet:Knight 7 3/4 118 gr ( Great Bullet)
Powder: H 4198
Primer: Winchester

Yeah, I think someone is pulling our leg on the equipment list.
Its not correct for anyone that I can tell.

I was shooting:

Stevens 340
.22 Hornet, factory 45 gr. soft points
held in the factory stock with friction tape and coat hanger wire.
Factory iron sights
Shot off a couple of 2X4 blocks and a rolled up towel

:D

Great Shootin Guys

Nice to see them big scores and what a beautiful range. Kudos Jackie and everyone else. All'yall need to get shootin some 6 power down there. :D Pete

Everyone deserves an amswer about the equipment list.

The software has been a problem for me from the beginning. After every match I have to re-enter the equipment for every shooter. Most or at least many times, it doesn't pick up the changes and all my work is wasted time. I felt that it was more important for everyone to see the score as soon as possible, so this time I didn't even bother to redo the equipment list before sending it to Dick. I will try to find the time and attempt to correct it sometime this week.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Rick

Rick,
Thanks for doing all the work to put on the matches.
I was just having fun with my made up listing.
