Thomas's shoot three 750's at Holbrook's indoor benchrest match today!!

JSB Monsters

Fantastic targets Paul, look good to me.

Just a point, you have put the pellet weight down as 14.3gr – were you not using JSB Monsters? I have these down as 13 .43 gr

Makes no difference, except to those with inquiring minds :D

Brian

Brian,
Your correct! 13.43 gr I guess when you just shoot them from the tin and don't sort them. My memory has long ago left me. Sorry for the mistake. Just 18.1 fpe.

No need to be sorry Paul, just wanted to be sure it was actually the Monsters you used.

I’ll bet there are a bunch of those being tested this weekend

Brian,

Just as a note: even though my scores were no where near what Paul's were, I too was shooting the 13.43 Monster's from my Theoben at the Northeast Regionals Outdoors last June when I won the HV Class.

What originally drew us to the Monsters was the idea of when the breezes became heavier we could have the option of ramping it up a notch by shooting a pellet which due to its weight, and design, might be slightly more stable when bucking the winds. But, then Paul soon found out they shot great Indoors when he shot a 250-24X with his Sumo, and thus his record on Saturday.

I'm just glad between us we both have a good supply of the Monsters as we probably have close to 15 ~ 20,000 pellets sitting in reserve. But I'll bet we'll blow through those in short order.

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately the monsters are no good to us 12ft/lb guys, I am however shipping my Pro Target fitted with the Dan Brown barrel off to our UK Air Arms guru for testing over the winter.

It will be interesting to see what he comes up with, but I’ll be surprised if it’s anything other than AA Field 8.4’s.

We can only watch with envious eye’s

My ev2 with CZ barrel shot a 750 53x indoors with the monsters @ 12fpe. They don't perform outside for me though. You have to try them to be sure.

Strever, Congrats on your 250 10X Outdoors!!

Paul you sure did set the bar pretty darn high - Wow
and the rest of you did very well
good looking guns Mike

you will be shooting 750's indoors this winter with your Thomas! You have me beat as I have not shot my Mech. Thomas outdoors yet. Will the 250 25X be shot at Wild River or Holbrook this Winter? My bet will be in CO at Mike Niksch's indoor range.

Hope to shoot with you at next. Year's Nationals where ever it's held.
PS Thomas's Customer service is the best in the World. I had a small problem with my first Thomas. Mike had to ship the Thomas with no air in the tube. The Regulator was pushed out with the air pressure past the regulator. He talked me threw the fix but I clipped the regulator O ring on the vent hole. He came to my hotel with a spare gun if needed but replaced the damaged O ring in 5 min. He had a ball meeting all the shooters on Fri and shot my Thomas and Chip Smith SUMO more than I did!
