Team USA Air Rifle Benchrest Qualification Requirements

Excellent guys now i have a question/favour; Can u confirm that you will be able to have air tanks that world visitors can use at the WC as carrying air tanks is impossible on flights?

Bill,

We will contact Craig Young regarding the availability of air tanks at the host club.

Thanks otherwise we will have to use our our sling shots that are only good enought to hit the odd Kangaroo not accurate enough for a World Champs.

" So you can effectuvely have 3 teams of 3 in each of those classes if you wish."

Bill,

What ever happened to being able to have 2 alternates per team and them being able to compete for individual awards if nothing else as discribed on Page 6 of the Rule Book under A.15 & 17? With that at least we could have as many as 5 per team, making it 15 per Class, or 30 overall, here again, as discribed under those same articles in the Rule Book.

I see that many have announced qualification matches. I see no increase on the web site for registered clubs. Is that not a requirement.

How does a club register? I looked on the web site and only see for a country to register?
Can you provide a link or web site?

That is still allowed but you have to talk to your qualifying bosses over there as each Country does it their own way. You will only be allowed 3 teams of 3 and yes you can have reserves if you wish but they will only be allowed for individual medals and not team ones.

Individual clubs do not register with the WRABF.

Individual clubs can become registered with United States Air Rifle Benchrest by submitting the club name, address and a contact/representative to me. The registration is free and is for the purpose of national sanctioning. This registration is not required to hold qualifying matches for Team USA and the World Championships.

Cris is correct Paul, only ONE Association per Country can register with the WRABF, u need to regester and shoot in that associations qualifying events to represent that country at the WRABF World Championships. Yours is in the USA is United States Air Rifle Benchrest.

Chris,

I have been checking the website http://www.usairriflebenchrest.com/ often. There are only two clubs that have registered to conduct qualification matches. Will there be some upset folks who shoot a qualification match prior to the hosting clubs registration . Is there a requirment to schedule the match in advance for targets to qualify. How will scores submitted from an un-registered club be treated?

Bob,

A club does not need to be registered to host a Team USA qualifying match.

If a club wishes to attract the largest number of shooters, announcing the date as early as possible will be beneficial.

Scoring should be by experienced scorers from the club. This spelled out in the Team USA qualifying requirements.
