Surgeon Single Shot Short action

I am unfamiliar with Surgeon actions. A gentleman wants to include one that is NIB in a trade with me. I checked the web site and the action sells for 1285.00, or rather that's what he paid for it. To get what I want out of it I need to be able to move it for 1100.00 or so. Does anyone have any insight or words of wisdom?

Terry Cross of KMW and George Gardner of GA Precision use the repeater version quite frequently. It's a very good receiver for a field type Hunting/Tactical Rifle. Try listing it in the for sale section of Snipers Hide for $1,100.00, you'll probably get a hit or two.

I didn’t see the single shot reference at first, should make a good F-Class Open receiver as well

I just had a new tactical rig built on a Surgeon. It's a fine receiver and it is worth what you would be asking for it. I can't even look at my Remington tac rig in the same light any longer.
