We had 33 shooters Saturday and 29 today. There were 19 VFS today and 10 HTR. The combined VFS/HTR match worked-out quite well.

This was our last registered match of the year. I have so many people to thank for their help. Without them these matches are impossible to execute. Russell Mathews and his family members helped make this match a success.

Thanks to my fellow club members for helping me with this match. I really appreciate it.
We should probably start thinking about scheduling this match at a time when it is not so darn HOT!

Congratulations!

Great shooting Carl and Boyd. You guys Got er Done today. Carl, you have made a great deal of progress in a short time. Good shooting Man!

Gary, Thank you and your crew again for running a great match and making it fun to come shoot at Tomball. Your efforts are deeply appreciated.

Congrats To Tom, Boyd, and Carl for their wins today, Carl shot just to the right of me, and it was something to see him hit that 50 5X on the last target at 200 today. I messed around at shot a 9 in match two, I would have loved to come out of the entire week end with a 1000, but had to settle for 999 and 63 X's. But then, that is the unique quality of score shooting that really ups the anti. Drop a point, and you are just shooting for pride on that particular day.

Carl is one of the shooters who started attending our Tomball Club Matches, and his hard work and dedication are reaping rewards. We also had no less than 12 other shooters who are regular Club Match Competitors to come out and give Registered Varmint for Score a try.

My hats off to Gary Walters for making our first Registered Varmint for Score Match a success. The combining of the Varmint for Score and HBR made for a nice enough turnout. I believe that when the NBRSA officially sanctions Varmint for Score next year, this will be a good Format for clubs to consider.

It will be upto the NBRSA BOD and the membership to decide this year whether Varmint for Score will indeed be a permanent NBRSA Sanctioned Format. Since the Nationals, and the annual meeting, are just around the corner, shooters need to be contacting their Region Directors and voice their opinion, whether for the proposal, or against it............jackie

Dittos on Target Crew and Stat House Crowd. I do not think there was one "hitch" all weekend. We got started on time, and finished on time. Can't get much better than that.........jackie

Way to go Al Ellott...:D:D...he is one of the San Angelo area shooters and long time friend...glad to see him "holding his own" at Tomball...
