so you think shooting at 100 yds with a 45x scope is tuff ?? try this...
iron sights on vintage bolt action mil surplus rifles...100yds for score and group..
basically stock rifles....
no bedding/original caliber/original trigger can be reworked.
sunday 9am off gun club road in aurora co 80012....
low entry fee...5 10 shot strings...
bragging rights....

results..we aint got no stinkin' results...
( i run this match)
the concesus was it was to hot to shoot..but we had already shot the match....
our high score was only 282 out of 300 when 290's are normal..
small group was 2.6 when whe normally have low 2's and high 1's
it was just to damn hot!///
this is 10 shot strings in 10 min no sighters....
the guns would not cool down after the third string..
target change is the only break between strings..there are no relays....
(our shooting line is not covered tho most guys do have umbrellas...)

about the same time the two major orgs follow thier charters...ultimate rifle accuracy....not bolt action rifle accuracy for one.
please note the title of this forum is benchrest competition...
the match i run is benchrest competition, do not be so narrow minded.
the site does not belong to either of you...
other than that...no one force you to read, nor comment...
i have had some nice comments...and the format of the match is NATIONAL.
there are state championships....club on club competition....
unlike other matches..it is serious..but fun at the same time.....
low dollar in, low dollar entry...1/2 day 50 rd match.
and no i'm not comparing anything...
it is an entire different part of the sport of shooting.
