Stranger things going on at the Nationals! ... A good time, and some great results!

WOW! That is stranger. This was the US National and you gave prizes and awards to non US Shooters.

There isn't a shoot around that doesn't allow for out-of-towners to be able to join in the fun. Take the European Championships last year for example, you didn't have to be from Europe in order to compete.

Come one, come all and enjoy just the camaraderie, plus see how much you can learn from the sharing of all the knowledge and equipment.

Actually Dave I believe the European Championships were limited to European residents. I think the World Bench Rest organization held their own match at the same time allowing for world wide participation. Hopefully Todd will comment on this.

I would agree with your assessment if the following were not posted on the Nationals Information Page under the qualifying section.

You must reside in the United States to qualify to place. For international shooters, you will be awarded Highest International Score recognition separately.

I asked the match director about this after I returned home and he responded

"As for the residential issue you have brought up, it applied to Highest Score placement. As we awarded, Highest US shooter, and Highest International shooter. We are sorry if this may have led to misunderstanding or miscommunication. All medal placement will stand as is, and no changes will be made."

That is not how I interpreted it. However the match director has the final say and the results are final. I have nothing else to add.

I just looked over my LV target package and noticed I was given a zero on what should have been a 9 with an obvious hole in my third card first bull ,the computer shows an old ball circle up in what would have been the the name sticker on my target . There's no holes anywhere near there . Can you explain how and why that happened thanks
Linzie
