Stolle Kodiak & Panda question

I have a few of both all R-R and would like to have them eject. One is from the 80's and the others from the 90's, can they be changed to the new Kelby ejector or a plunger or both? Thanks for the time to respond & God bless.

yes,,,and this is the perfect time to have it done,,,just ahead of the winter rush,,,Roger

So both options are possible?

I understand the Kelby one is 100 % reliable and only uses bolt pull for the propulsion of the spent case vs constant pressure of the plunger spring type. Opinions..

In a word YES. The bolts can be reworked for the passive ejector. I know nothing of cost, but even at a slow last shot pull, the case ejects.

Chad,,,they both work reliably,,,,when you are at a match look at them ,,ask and any competitor,,he/she,, will gladly explain to you how they work and what they like/don't like about the two types of ejectors,,,,try them and see for yourself ,,,,there is no opinion better than yours,,,,,,,,the answer to your queastion is yes ,,,the static ejector has to eject on the same side as the bolt handle,,,and yours are Right bolt/right eject,,so they are just rite for either,,,,I have both types and have a hard time choosing one over the other,,,with the spring loaded M 1 style ejector you can weaken the spring and they will just dribble out on the bench top,,,,and the static ejector will toss them according to the force with which you draw the bolt to the rear againgst the bolt stop which deploys the ejector,,,,,I use both types in either action with everything from a PPC to a .280 AI..!!!!,,,no problems with any of them,,,,Roger

Cost? The RR Tom at Kelblys did for me was $75 and that was in 2011.
Call them and talk to Tom since he is the one who does that operation.

I had trouble with the one i have the new one in a Panda.if you rip it it will send off the front of the bench and work it a little easer it's OK.Now if you work it easy it will turn it around back wards and real easy it will drop it in the action. This is with a Dasher and what i did to eliminate this was to go to a plunger ejector. The problem i see is the case bounces off the back of the port and longer case have enough weight and length outside the action to work better. I don't think they work good with PPC or BR family cases. Maybe i just got a bad one..... jim
