I put my name on the waiting list for a stiller 25x rimfire action. is anyone here already shooting one of these? They will not be available for several months so i have time to plan and purchase the other parts of the build as money allowes. This will be my first rim fire bench rifle so i will need some help. What barrel should i be looking at? what stock? I was hoping i could use a McMillan LV edge. Will this work? also who is the rimfire gunsmith to have?? Any info would be great. There is a small club shoot 2nd weekend of the month down the road a 100 miles so this is were i will start the adventure. I here it is an expensive game!! What isn't!! Thanks Lee

i couldnt wait on a stiller, i bought a hall action and edge stock, sent them to james messer in n.c. and said build what you think will work, only thing i requested was offset rings, just got a call and its almost ready, it shoots 2 lots of black box "very well" as quoted by messer.

as far as expensive--even if you pay 30.00 a box for ammo each round will only be 15.00 still less expensive than a round of golf

If it were me

I'd buy one of Borden's stocks. I think they are about as good as it gets right now discounting some of the upper end stocks. They are danged pretty too ;) Another concept might be either one of Gene Beggs stocks or Coming up with a tube setup similar to what Shelley Davidson made up a couple of years back. Inovtion guys, INOVATION!

Expensive?

the Benchrest games, compaired to any kind of racing one can think of with the exception of foot racing is relatively inexpensive.

I thought for the articles and talking with Jerry they would be availble in late June or July/August at the latest??? I also understand there are prototypes out there now for testing, so I'm hoping they will be available soon.

Prototypes

I think you are wrong about there being any prototypes being tested. I was told last Saturday they are still waiting for extractors.

That's the same info I received. Extractors and loading ramps I believe is what I was told.
