Southeast Region NBRSA meeting

Wilbur

cook and bottle washer
This coming weekend at Unaka (7/18)....please try to attend.

There's a couple of fairly important items to discuss such as adding score to the NBRSA menu and director nominations.

Wilbur

I might as well ask. From your talking to shooters in your Region, how do you think the membership will go on the proposal to add Varmint for Score as a Registered NBRSA Format??

I know a couple of notables from the South Eastern who are aginst it, but severaL who say 'why not'..........jackie

Don't know the answer

The few I have talked with have been non-committal. I'll get the straight skinny this weekend.

Wilbur

I have been talking to as many shooters as will listen, and from my drift, the majority say, "if we do this, don't complicate the situation. Just leave the scoring system alone, and let's see what happens".

That is sort of my feeling. Give it a trial run. There is plenty time in the future to improve it, or as in many cases, screw it all up......jackie

presence required to vote?

Wilbur: Is a members presence required to vote? What about proxy voting? I will be unable to attend. Grandkids - Thanks Jim C.

Jim

We're not voting on any agenda items until the meeting at Rockingham.

In answer to your question, yes, an email or notification of proxy is acceptable if ahead of the meeting. Would look fishy if a close vote was changed after the meeting.

That said, the SE members present at Unaka were solidly opposed to VFS. I'll put that differently....When asked for a show of hands in support of the item not one single hand was raised....crickets were heard chirping softly in the underbrush...

The members approved one item to appear on the agenda. The item is to rearrange the format of the varmint nationals to shoot all 100 yards and then all 200 yards (excluding unlimited) to minimize flag movement.

Director nominees for the next election:
Jim Andress
Steve Lee
Wayne Campbell

Wayne Campbell was voted assistant director.

Steve Lee volunteered to revive the Top 20/SER Shooter of the Year program beginning 2010.

is the Rockingham match that the meeting will be held at?

Thank You

The dates that are posted in the NBRSA Newsletter are:
September 5 and 6

I must say Wilbur holds a very good meeting but foreigners are allowed to attend, listen, not contribute to the dialogue, and not allowed to vote. I don't know if there is a different rule for an NBRSA Regional Director or for a committee person on the Hunter Committee but I highly doubt it.

Francis. Not the reason I asked.

David

September 5th, just after the day's final agg is posted and reviewed...while the target frames are being moved.
