Small Air Bottles

I was looking around for a reasonably priced small air bottle. I have had enough of the big SCUBA tank. A number of Airsoft bottles presented themselves. Are or can they be made to be compatible with the filling systems we use?

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

If I were you I'd go with Joe Brancato @ airtanksforsale.com. He's not the cheapest at around $385 for an 18 cu. ft. tank, but that includes all the fittings along with 4 feet of a great micro hose. In fact, I've been looking lately as I've been thinking it might be healthier for me to carry around a "Guppy" tank rather than lugging my 88 cu. ft. tank around, and then just use that to top off the smaller tank whenever needed.

Thanks Dave,

There is a substantial difference in the cost between what he sells and what appears to be a very similar tank. I have the hose and gauges. I don't mind paying a fair price but -----.

If my SCUBA tank valve will fit into the smaller tank, I think we might be in business. Of course I realize everything must be up to standards to get someone to fill it. Perhaps this is one of those situations where if one has to be concerned about the cost, perhaps one can't afford to be doing what they are doing. I sure hate to give away a couple hundred bucks unnecessarily for something I use so infrequently.

Ah, almost Spring here in New England!

First Question

My first question is, because I don't know, would be if you are shooting 6 cards how many fills would you get
from an 18 cu ft or 216 cu in's tank?
All of the paint ball tanks I've seen are max 90 CU IN's, if that's the case you'd have to bring your bigger
tank to keep the smaller one full???
Just asking !?!?

I don't know the answer

but my rifle doesn't use all that much air, volume wise, I don't think but I don't know for sure. I like the Air Gun stuff a lot but so far, it's been like computer stuff to me. I haven's been interested enough to put a lot of time into finding out stuff or remembering much of it. I have always struggled with remembering details such as DOS prompts, etc. or the correlation between PSI and the Metric equivalent, if that is what it is. I probably should just give it all up and keep doing what I is perfect know, as my old friend Tadeusz Krzyznowski use to say.

The way I understand it is, an 18 cu.ft. Guppy Tank holds just enough air to supply your gun for about 13 cards, that is if the larger charging tank had enough volume to fill it all the way.

Personally, I'm looking for something that I can easily carry around when practicing in my yard, or when going to Holbrook, but would still bring the big tank along to Salem as, unless the larger tank had just been filled it will only charge the smaller one part way up.

Haven't bought a Guppy yet because I already have the 88 Cu Ft tank and am really not that sure how much I'd use the smaller one.
