Does anyone know if these are still available.Nearing 80 with recent double hernia surgery I have been advised to cut weight.
 
cave and creek outfitters ?? i think...do a search, and try on accurate shooter. i sold my steel one but kept the alum!

Jeff, it was Field And Cave Outfitters that used to make those, along with other very well designed and made items. Unfortunately, they've ceased production of the shooting gear.

Try a 'Wanted' add on Accurate Shooter. One of the members there bought their remaining stock of items.

Your best bet anymore is to buy a piece of aluminum and make your own.
A couple years ago I tried to drum up some interest in base plates for the Randolph rests trying to get enough interest to do a large quantity of a burn table.

I ended up making one by hand then another and sold the first.

I recently sold my Sinclair Comp if I still had it I'd offer to make one for you.
 
With the steel one for a pattern, an aluminum version can be done on a water jet. I did a reverse of this to  add weight to the bottom of my Hart/Sinclair rest.
