Shelley is in John Petersmith hospital in Ft. Worth. He has pneumonia that he has been trying to treat his self for a month or so. Say a prayer for him as he is real sick.

we all are guilty of thinking that we are immortal...nothin can kill us...hahaha....I just had a freind loose a foot from a blister....and we somtimes ignore pain/blood etc and think it will go away....take care ..EVERYBODY...Roger

Get better soon. Nothing worse than summer cold -- except summer pnemonia. :(
 
Thanks Butch. I just sent Glenn an email saying I haven't heard from him in two weeks and he always answers my emails. Last I talked to him he didn't sound good. If you see him tell him to take care of himself an I'll talk to him when he gets home and feeling better. Funny, now I'm thinking how upset he is because he isn't home to take care of his garden. Butch, also tell him if he needs some help when he gets home to let me know. Thanks.

Robert Whitewood just called and said things are looking bad. Will let you know when we have more word. Glenn Chism is going to try to get over there. I don't know if Shelley has any family to help.

I know Shelly hates being cooped up in that hospital. Sure hope he has speedy recovery.. Thanks for the heads up Butch..

Never met you man, but pneumonia at our age is nothing to play with................and to all others that are our age (over 50) don't mess around with it! Pneumonia is a real killer on folks our age!

I can't claim to know Shelley well; so I didn't jump in and post as soon as I saw this thread. We've e-mailed back & forth a few times and we spoke over the phone for a while once................but that was enough to see that he is a great guy and that the really loves our sport.

I was a little surprised to see that there were no updates as to his condition and that this thread had gone to the bottom of the page, so I decided to post and bring it to the top. Does anyone know how he is doing? Pneumonia is some seriously nasty stuff........I found out myself in early April, and I'm still not back at 100% yet. I've never been so compromised by being sick.

Shelley, you're in my and my family's prayers...get well soon.

I tried calling Shelley at the hospital yesterday. They couldn't find him in their patient records, so hopefully he's out of the hospital and doing better. Any updates?
