The September Match at the Rockingham County Gun Club will be held Sept 27 at 9:00 am this will be a 100yd score match hope to see a good turnout.

It was a beautiful day at the Rock, we had a great turnout with 30 shooters,18 VFS,4 Mod, and 8 factory guns. The conditions were good for the most part fairly light wind with some mirage mixing in as the temps warmed up. Cuz'n Roy Darnell came to shoot today and he ain't lost a step, he won VFS with 250-23x, Little Roy, Zack Darnell was 2nd w 250-22x and Dale Avery was 3rd with 250-21x and Ken Eades was 4th with 250-21x, Reggie Wright was 5th w 250-20x. Kelly Hendrix won Modified w 249-5x, Sandra Humble was 2nd w 249-4x( these ladies are getting tough, that's 2 wins in a row for Kelly, good shooting ladies!) We had a great turnout of factory guns with 8 shooters, Kevin Lasley was 1st w 247-6x, Tom Fee was 2nd w 246-12x and Willie Brown was 3rd w 246-11x. Thanks to all who came to shoot and Thanks to the people that made the match happen, Gary Hendrix, Terry Hendrix, Roy Darnell, Zack Darnell and Butch Mays and others. Gary really stepped up with Phillip's absence and took over Phillips leadership role. I would like for ya'll to keep Phillip in your prayers as he deals with some health issues, hopefully they turn out to be minor and the good Lord will heal him quickly so he can be back with us. The final match of the year will be next month at 200 yds with Trophy presentation for the year after the match. Congrats to all that shot well!
