Season closer @ Capitol City, Maine

Capitol City, Maine held it's last match of the year yesterday. We had 9 shooters and a beautiful, chilly at times and swirly most of the day. Thanks everyone for all the help this year, especially Joan for all her help with the computer work, scoring, stats, etc and all those others who carried target frames and help me pack it up after each of the matches. The equipment seems to go out a lot easier than it comes back in. See you all next season, I hope and trust.

Hello Pete,
Sorry to hear that the season is already over at Capitol City, Maine. It's still to warm in Florida, for you to head back down now.

However, it's not as hot as the weather I experienced at the PSL/ARA Nationals in St. Louis, a couple of weeks ago. It was sunny and very hot (95 degrees) with plenty of wind thrown in to make shooting very challenging. I didn't shoot worth a darn, but I did experience what it is like shooting against many of the very best rimfire benchrest shooters in the country. Even if one considers themselves quite good at their local clubs, shooting the PSL/ARA Nationals at St. Louis can serve up a big slice of "humble pie". LOL

Met a lot of nice folks there, including Dick Volk, whom we've shot with at Manatee in Florida. Look forward to seeing you later this year at a match.

Congrats to Keith Royal and Joan Hassam for their good shooting at the closer. John

Pete,
Thanks for running the matches at CCRP this year. Had though of driving up Sun morning and shoot just the Unlimited match.
Worked on old cars instead.

Every one sure has improved their game this year!

Great to see all the Coopers doing well. I am glad I saw Dave P shoot a 250 with his sporter!

See you next Summer!
Paul

Yes, the Autumn Leaves have begun to appear up here and the chilly winds a-blowin. I look forward now to getting back into the warm. We will be back in Florida by the 20th of December. Look forward to seeing you again.

Yes Paul, the bar is rising up here. Joan (pronounced Jo-an) told me she is going to start using Wind Flags; Heaven help us all if she does :). I too was pleased to see Dave shoot that 250. His Sporter surely is a winner, eh? You had a heck of a year and I am pleased to see it. Hope it continues next year for you. I may try to make an Indoor Air Gun match before I go South, if not, see you next Spring.

Thanks Pete & Joan

Thanks for all that you too do! How you both are able to run the match & shoot well is beyond me. It seems like quite a lot to do.
Sorry to see it end !
Keith
