Scott Dittman wins River Bend

Scott Dittman won the River Bend Gun Club score match Saturday. Fifteen shooters competed in great conditions. Conditions seemed great but scores were not as high as one would have expected. Four of the fifteen shot 500. Dave Rabin lead most of the match but Scott shot 20 X's at 100 yards to take the win. Dave finished in second place and Bob Bradshaw finished third shooting his 6PPC. Bob Eikenberry won the production class. Bob bought a PPC benchgun at the match so now we will have to worry about him too. We have had four matches this year and Scott has won three of them. He would probably won the fourth one too if he had been here.

Scott better be happy that Bob Bradshaw didn't take me up on my offer. After my 249 at 200 I offered Bob my 30BR [ aka The Laser Beam ] but Bob decided to stick with his 6mm.

Bob should have his own 30 for our next score match and I think we are all in big trouble

Match report

I never discount Bob Bradshaw - regardless of what he is shooting.

I tried to link to the match report - link thingy is not working????

It's in the match report forum.

After running or attending virtually every Riverbend match for about 15 years, this last match was bittersweet. Except for military, I've lived in the Atlanta area since my family moved here in 1954 but that will end in a couple of weeks.

I will greatly miss the matches and the meetings with my friends. As we were putting the target frames away in the aggravating too small storage building, I was quietly freaking out, saying can this really be the last time.
