Will be on Mar. 27 (Sat.) 100 yd.,Bring your lunch, but we`ll have coffee, donuts, etc., soft drinks & water. Hope to start @ 9:00 AM. Regards, Bob, Dennis, & Jeff.

Bob told me it would be shot on regulation targets and the same basic rules apply but it is not registered. They will still have the factory and custom class as well. Steve

Bob has stated that registered shoots could be held in the future.
He's getting his feet with this one first.

Bob runs the club rimfire score shoots also.

The turnout he get's at this one will determine a lot of what happens in the future.

ROCK Results

Thanks to everyone who came out today and braved the cool temps and typical switchy winds.

We had 16 VFS shooters and 2 Factory shooters.

An extra thanks to Steve Stanley for handing the scoring responsibilities again today.

It was a good day at the Rock, kinda frosty early but it warmed up nicely by midday. We had good representation from the SC crew, The humble one Henry Rivers,Ronnie Long, Roger Avery and little snake Wayne Lewis, It was good to see these guys again and we appreciate them making the trip to shoot with us. I proved once again that you can't fix stupid, I managed to bring the wrong box of ammo with me and when I sat down to shoot match 2 I put a round in the chamber and went to close the bolt and no go, tried one more and it was no go also, still didn't know what the problem was but I had decided that it was terminal for today. When I was putting my stuff away we noticed that it was for my Hall and I was shooting my Panda. I still had a great time visiting with friends that I don't get to see often enough so it was all good. Thanks to Bob, Jeff and Dennis for holding the matches, without folks like them we would not have a place to shoot. Good shooting to Ronnie and all the rest that shot good. see ya at the range, Steve

I had wanted to shoot a match at Bowmanstown for a awhile so a couple of years ago Ms J and I drove over one Saturday planning to stay the night and shoot Sunday. We located the range and while I was out looking around I suddenly remembered I had not put my ammo in the car when I left Maine.

It was a nice ride all the same so we decided to find a couple more diners we had not previously visited. We drove up the Deleware until we found one up in the Catskills then swung east and continued to drive back to Ct.

Gotta enjoy the trip more than the shootin or one will often be disapointed.

Thanks to Rockingham County Gun Club

Thanks to all those that braved the rain on Friday and the cold on Saturday to put on a excellent VFS match this weekend. It was nice to see all the friends and how things have changed at the gun club since the last visit.
Hope to see you guys again in the near future.
Ronnie Long

THANKS to those who came to the "ROCK" to shoot the score matgh yesterday.

In spite of not the most comfortable weather early, 18 competitors came to shoot a 100 yd. match. I want to thank you, and thank the "crew" who saying nothing, just went out and changed out the backers, plus putting in the "every day" ones for us. It was well appreciated guys...Top Gun- Ronnie Long came from S.C. to show how it`s done, Ronnie Davis was second, followed by our Dale Avery. Factory class found two first timers taking first and second. Paul Schaeffer, followed by Eric Lawson. Welcome aboard, guys. Sure would like to see more people in factory, come out and join us. Special thanks to the man who does computer work, target changes, sign-ins, and more. Jeff Miller. Jeff doesn`t even shoot centerfire, but he sure bails out Dennis and myself. We`re dumb as a stump with computers...Hope to see those who can make it, April 24th, and May 22nd. Wishing you all a lot of Xs, Bob Y.
