Scales

Am looking to buy a scale for weighing powder with.
Looked at the Vic-123. 2 people said you could trickle
powder in and 2 said no. IT WAS TO HAVE AUTO TRACKING
ability, if not it will not work. The Vic-123 does not but
am told alot of benchrest shooters use them. What do
you think ?????

Considering - -

how good the RCBS Chargemaster combo seems to work, how could anyone go wrong with the scale portion of that combo?

The VIC-123 just measures to .01 grain instead of .1. There is no setup (that I know of) that allows you to connect the scale to a dispenser.

I take a Lee dipper and trickle into the pan, not as fast as the chargemaster but I can get a more accurate reading.

Or you can get a chargemaster and set the charge to .2 grains under your target amount then take the pan to the VIC-123 and trickle from there....but the dipper would be faster.

Here's how I set up my trickler...works well, just have to make sure it's lined up or you can get kernels under the pad.

If you want to turn reloading into fun, vice a boring task, go get an RCBS Charge Master 1500. That's what I think!
