San Angelo Gun Clubs 1st Registered NBRSA VFS Shoot

San Angelo NBRSA VFS Match Results

Not many shooters, but it was a good fun match. Pretty strong wind from 10-20 and gusty.

Actually our first match had eleven shooters of which 7 were registered with the NBRSA. We run a mixed match with factory, VFS, and Hunter classes. All of the factory shooters are not registered, but they're welcome to shoot with us and are eligible for awards for their class. Your range looks like a first class facility. I've got to make it up there for one of your score matches. I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB in the early sixties and have fond memories of San Angelo.

All the best,

Dano,

What powder and bullets are ya usin with your 30ppc? Is it a true 30ppc?

V
Vic, it is a 30PPC. I was using fireforming brass as I didn't have time to get 2-3 firings on it or work up a good load for it(too busy getting ready for the shoot). Hopefully I will have it shooting good by the Sept. 12th shoot. I was putting as much 4198 as the cases would hold. Using the "Powder Packer", I got an extra grain of powder in the cases. It was somewhere around 31+ . I was using Ronnie's 118 grain bullets.
Best,
Dan Batko
