I think bicycling has saved me. I find myself in my mid-60's in close to the best cardiovascular shape of my life as opposed to the rapidly degenerating (and degenerated) state I was in several years ago. I weighed over 300 pounds and have been 100 pounds down from that for 3 years. The first shot is of the #1 bike that I run hard at 100 to 150 miles a week and 100 miles a day once or twice a year. The change in quality of life is astonishing.
