Lynn,
This comming weekend some of us Siskiyou Shooters are planning on attending the 600 yard match in Sac. What would be the nearest hotel to the shooting range? Is there a chance that the fog would shut down the match?
 
I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Galt during the recent 1K Nationals. About 25 miles from the range and no traffic. Market and restaurants nearby. I'll stay there again.

Seeings how your coming down on I-5 most likely you will probaly take the Howe Ave exit off of hwy 50.When you reach the end of the off ramp there are two motels on the right.One is a comfort inn the other is an embassy suites.If you go left instead of right there is a motel 6 right past the overpass in what is called college town.There is a denny's and a chevron plus lots of little food places in a very small area there.They won't let you make a right turn there so you need to go to the next stoplight and back track to get there.
As Charles Greer has posted you can actually drive right past the range and stay on the same road and go into Galt.The distance is similar but less traffic and you might even get as discount if you mention the range as they know us pretty well.
There is no chance on the fog closing us down only delaying us a half hour at most.

I ordered up that loader attachment from Joe Cowan for my rest.I think he could put the ad in a better place but that is just me thinking out loud.
