We had 9 shooters for the final SOTY match of the year. Conditions were a little tricky with light winds and plenty of humid heat. Richard Shorter won his first match today, shooting a 249-13X in the IR 10.5 lb. Congratulations also to Bob Pekaar for shooting the only 250 of the day, to Bob Collins for "sweeping" the RBA SOTY awards, and to all the other winners. A big THANKS to all who helped with the matches during the year.

Leonard, you are to be congratulated for running a year of great matches by the book and very efficiently. The food was great (don't make me eat black-eyed peas) and I'm looking forward to seeing you in two weeks for the Georgia State Catfish Tournament. Richard, Ron and I feel that it would be best for you to just watch and thereby avoid the grave disappointment of 4th place.

Thanks for the kind words. We try very hard to give the shooters their money's worth. If the rumors are true (about all the people planning on coming this year) about the Catfish Shoot, it's going to be a fun day.:D CORRECTION:In theinitial post of this thread, I listed Bob Collins as shooting a 246-15X in the RBA Sporter. Bob actually shot a 248-15X. The initial post has been corrected. I should have known Bob wouldn't lose 4 points on a single target.;)
