I have a Ruger M77 MKII 7.62X39 S/S 22" purchased well used(beat up). I replaced the bolt spring and trigger spring. Work was done one the trigger/sear.
Problem is when the safety is moved to the fire position, it fires...........I have disassembled the firearm for now.
What should I replace and with what manufactures parts ?

Ruger will not sell you the trigger. Factory restricted part. Better to get an adjustable after market trigger.

Looks like Bluefield is right, I'm wrong. So your choices are Rifle Basix trigger/sear for around 140.00, Spec-tech for 90-105.00 and Timney for around 120.

I'll suggest either the Rifle Basix or Timney since these setups include both engagement surfaces. Spec-tech seems to be just a trigger.

Hi Al, I just remembered KIDD triggers.
$89.00 for the ruger replacement
$200.00 for the Single action
$289.95 for the two stage.
Hope this helps.

Why not just send that rifle to Ruger for a new trigger?????

It will cost less and with new parts you can have a good trigger again.
A little work and you have a fine trigger but that is how the original problem started.
