I would look around your area to see what types of matches are going on. Long range, short range group or score style.

I prefer short range group, at 100 and 200 yards. A custom action like a bat or panda so on a high quality barrel like Kreiger or Bartlien and cartridge of 6ppc then a be stock.

I'm looking to shoot 1000 yds. I have a barrel ordered already from Shillen it's chamberd in 260 rem.Thats what I'm shooting now out to 800.
