Revised USARB Nationals Schedule

The schedule for the USARB Nationals will be as follows:
Thur. 8/31- Practice 12:00-5:00PM, possibly later.
Fri. 9/1- Practice 9:00am-12:00pm, Open 25 Meter Class National Championship 12:30pm-4:30pm, Awards
Sat. 9/2- LV Class National Championship 8:00am- 12:00pm, HV National Championship 1:00-5:00pm, Awards and prize drawing
Sun. 9/3- Spring Piston Class National Championship 9:00am-1:00pm, Awards

There are still benches available, and most likely will be right up to Match time.

Why would you make a change like this at this late date?

How many shooters have already made their travel plans based around the original schedule?

Since so many of us have already paid our dues for the days as were originally posted, it would only be fair to put it back to what had been originally posted, especially where there's only 15 days to go.

This kinda screws things

We made motel reservations based on shooting the Springers on Friday and the LV on Saturday. I did not intend shooting HV! Was I mistaken in my previous understanding of the schedule?

Sorry Guys

I probably should have explained the reason for the change in my original post, and for some reason I'm not receiving email notifications to replies to my posts all the time.
There are embarrassingly few people signed up for the Nationals, and the Springer entries are downright dismal. Rather than have the rest of the shooters watch the 4 guys shooting Springer on Fri, I thought they would appreciate a chance to go home Sat evening or early Sun and enjoy the holiday weekend with family. I know I would.

Thanks for the explanation.

That really sucks about the low attendance. I mean, here you go out and commit to trying to hold what should be the biggest event of the year, and what do you get in return. I just hope the club can break even as it's not cheap to run a match of this size, or what should have been this size. Whether it's a full house, or just a few showing up it costs the Club the same as you have to be prepared, in advance.

I also worked it out and am fine with the way you now have things set up.

This will very likely be the last major Air Rifle match at Salem, Dave. I got my 40X back last week and am shopping for a Sporter....
