Remington LTR .223 with $0X trigger

I recently got a Remington LTR .223 that came with 40X trigger.
How do You correctly adjust 40X trigger? Right now it brakes at 3.5 LBS.
What kind of accuracy should I expect from an out of the box .223 LTR ?
 
Half inch at 100 yds for a really good one. A few maybe better and others quite a bit worse. I've never adjusted a 40X trigger but did a google search and found quite a bit of info. Any adjustment should be proven before you get away from your tools and find that the trigger won't work.
