I am looking for a Long Action 700 bolt with a .308 bolt face.
If anyone has one for sale let me know.

I know he does. I am looking for a complete bolt that I can just drop in. Thanks for the reply

HAve you considered the benefit

of having a bolt made up or is this for a rifle where accuracy and ease of use isn't an issue?
I have seen written on here that some fellow does a great job of welding bolt handles on and is fast at doing it.

The benefit I was refering to is the placement of the handle. Most of the Rem's I have seen lately don't have their bolt handles even close to where they should be.

I have considered having a bolt made. I am on a little bit of a budget and I was looking for a short term solution.

I had Dave Kiff make me a bolt for my Rem 721 in a true .700" diameter to get rid of a lot of the slop in the .697" factory bolts. Had Dan's 40X tig weld the handle on and it is now done the way it should be done. Was it cheap, no, but it was worth it. By the way, I went with the Rem snap-in extractor and got rid of the Sako extractor I did when the 721 funky extractor went south (the action is on its 5th barrel).
