I have had Ruger 10-22's, T-22's sporter's and tricked out T-22, bought a Rem 597 and it is great. Alittle light and the trigger alot heavy bad heavy. Getting a trigger shoe too help just want to do some of the work on it myself, but not all that good at it, is there away to lighten up the trigger by oil? DO not want to take it apart NOT GOOD AT IT:confused:

They have some good tutorials on there, and most of those guys accompany them w/some pretty good photos. I'd have to say though, some of the things they do require more courage than sense, so be careful and don't get in over your head.
You didn't say what your financial situation is, but Jard makes a complete fire control system for the 597, only thing is, at $280+ its undoubtedly more than you paid for the gun. Look around at some of the advertisers over there, I've seen some pretty good products. And ask questions, somebody always has experience w/suppliers at RFC. HTH
