Rem VTR stock Glass bedding

I have a Gimme Rem 700 VTR stock that I would like to use with a 722 w/ heavy barrel - I have it in the stock and now want to bed it -Question- will there be adhesion problems with this type of plastic - I will be using accra glass. Any suggestions other than get a new stock??
 
brother has a 308 VTR he bedded with accra glass...no issues
 
I think that I'd at least scuff the area that you're going to bed with some coarse sandpaper to give the bedding compound something to bite into. Acra Glas Gel from Brownell's does a good job and doesn't tend to run all over the place.
 
My Son has a 30-06 700 that I bedded for him. It has one of these stocks.

I just roughed up the areas that were going to get bedding material, cleaned it real well, and bedded it with JB weld. It came out great.

I see no reason why Accra Glass would not work just as well..........jackie
