Done....for now
Guys,
Here are the last few pics of the Rapid project. I've got three coats of Spar Urethane on it, and have decided to wait till I can control the climate in the shop a little better to add a few more coats. It looks pretty good, but the grain on the walnut and sapele isn't filling like I'd like it to. It slides real nice in the bags the way it is, and if I don't point them out, you probably won't notice the slight runs and sags in the poly.
The pictures are taken on my new "workbench" in the shop. I've got heat, satellite radio and digital cable TV out there, and if I wasn't a newlywed, I might never come in the house
I've also added a couple of pictures of a modification I made to one of Swifts single shot adapters. It works really well for loading from the bench. I took one picture through the scope that shows three X's and one of the $%^& high shots I keep getting. First target off the new "workbench" in a 10+mph wind off the 60 acre cornfield next door was a 246-6x. All four misses went high on me, same thing it does indoors. Very frustrating!
