Rachels Glen match question

I have a couple of question about the Rachels Glen match this weekend.

1. What type of rotation will there be.
2. Is there an available loading area.
3. Number of Approximate shooters.

Thinking about making the trip from southern Indiana to shoot (if I get final approval from home boss). Would rather drive the car because of gas mileage if I can get packing list down a little.

thanks

The Format is all 200 yard Four-Gun, 5-shot Unlimited.

There is plenty of loading area.

I have been over there four times, and we normally do not rotate at all for this match, but you never know.

I would amagine there will be between 30 and 40 shooters.

I plan on leaving realearly tomorrow morning, it's a whole days drive for us out of Houston.

See you there........jackie

Hovis,
No bench rotation. Plenty of loading area but bring a table. We can put you on a bench with flags so don't bring any unless you just want to. Wayne Johnson and Bernie Burby are already here and we're almost ready to go. You'll have fun. Calling for some rain Thursday night and Friday morning and good weather on Saturday and Sunday. You have the weatherman's word on it.

We've not had 40 shooters in quite a while but there seems to be a good number going to make this one. I can name two shooters that this will be their first ever benchrest match and several more first-timers to Rachel's Glen. A good many Texicans are coming.

IF table

is too much, I will have a spare if that will help you make the trip. See me at shoot for table. Jim Casey

Thanks Mickey and Jim,

I'll see how the packing goes...I figured I would save around 80.00 dollars driving the car instead of the SUV. I'll bring everything I can, I have a small table but don't know if it will fit. Everytime I try to pack less, I end up with more. I remember my first deployment in the army...everything I needed fit in ruck sack and one duffle bag. Last deployment I went on I had Ruck, three duffles, two carry on bags and a tri-wall box full of crap.

Jim Casey brought a table for you to use if you need it. He's already here. In fact, Jackie Schmidt is here, Larry Costa, Wayne Johnson, Bernie Burby and David Reynolds are already here. The new target frames and moving backer system is in place and ready to go. Y'all gitcher butts down here and let's shoot!

I'll be there Mickey. I've been wanting to make it down for a couple of years and can't hardly wait. I'll be rolling in Friday afternoon, is the range gonna be open friday evening till dark? I don't have a rail but since it's a 5-shot group, I'll be shooting my bag gun.

Kevin, thats a good place to sell your Grizzly. You are in the heart of Billy Stevens country. If I could sell a bushel of sweet taters, I could possibly show up. If nothing else, you'll have a good time and get good accurate measurements from that Coleman guy.

Fraid not. We close the range at 4 pm so everybody can set wind flags and we can hang target boards and moving backers. Can't get it all done on Saturday morning. Drive faster but don't get any speeding tickets......or leave on Thursday. I'll tell Jim Casey you're coming. We already have a dozen people here.

Mickey

Vic Smith and I will be there tomorrow evening if all goes as planned. Looking forward to shooting at your range and meeting some new faces. The weather looks really great for the weekend. We have a 10 plus hour drive to look forward to tomorrow..........GW

Jackie said that you were coming so we're here waiting to show y'all a great time......with our clothes on, of course. ;)

Come on over. Bring the sweet taters and we'll grill them up. Do you have any of them Georgia Onions to go with them? I'm heading out early in the morning. If you need a gun to shoot (you can shoot the Grizzly), I'll have one. Just bring your press and powder measurer, I have everything else. I'll be shooting that new prototype stock I've been tinkering with this summer.

Thanks to everyone for the responses and help....can't wait to get there...

I still need to find a ride for a package from Nashville TN to Rachel's Glen. If you're coming from the north you'll be passing right through.
I can meet you on the highway.
PM me if you can help.

Thanks!
