Question on glueing in action

to Robertson or McMillan type of stock. I have had customers ask me if you can glue directly to them and I really dont have an answer. I always have bedded them. Has anyone glued directly to the core material? The viper inlet fits so well it seems you could glue direct. What do you think, especially if you have done that.

On all three of my Competition Rifles, (one Millenium X and two Robertsons), I did no bedding at all. I just made sure the action layed in the "factory" action channel the way it was supposed to, and JB Welded the things in.
I do bead blast the bottoms of the Farley Actions.
I have never had the miss fortune of having a glue in come loose. Heck, the big problem is getting the darned things out if the need ever arises.........jackie

I have never glued to the core material, still have an old mcmillian
thats still holding since 1983. That was bedded first to a foundation then
epoxyed in. Last year I changed a stock for someone who said they couldn't hit anything with it. It lifted out core chunks and all. had been on for about
7 months. No heating neccessary. I have no idea what is used for a release
agent in stock making, It does no harm to scrape off the shine.
