question about shooting comp. with a rem 40xb heavy barrel 22lr

new guy here,, been with austin police for over 25 years, i just got me a nice remington 40xb heavy barrel 22lr has matching numbered bolt and mouns for open globe sites.

question is im kind getting a hankerin to poss get into shooting some comps with it but my eyesite aint so hot what globe sites would you guys use if i were to do this? i think i saw a cetera? site that has a small magnification on the rear globe? with a "floating" ft discit??? would appriciate any thoughts you fellers might have, all else fails i put some nice glass like a vortex scope on it and bang away
 
Well I guess it would depend on what type on matches you'd be planning. Over here pretty much all the BR world competes with optics so it might be a bit tougher to get aperature sight information.
 
Several of our shooters use 40X in USBR and do pretty well. What kind of matches are you interested in shooting? I like the USBR so far. There is a match in Lufkin at our range in May if you'd like to come over. Details on Texas Shootout in the Match forum.
