Any alternatives to PS magazine, a publication that is really about precision shooting.......

Go back 40 years, maybe more, and that very same question was asked of what ever "precision shooting" publication was being printed at that time.

Precision Shooting cannot cater to just the "extreme accuracy" crowd. There simply are not enough of us to support a major publication.

Besides, after the 15th article on "what barrel is best", it would get pretty boring.

That, and the simple fact that Magazines are suffereing the same malady as Newspapers. It's the Internet. It's called the "information super hyway' for good reason.

Read "Hot Rod" magazine lately. Every month, readers write in to the sound off section, lamenting about too much "non Hot Rod" related stuff.

It's a sign of the times, past and present.........jackie

Alternatives to PS

The internet has opened many venues for precision shooters.

If subscriptions to PS did not come with membership to some of the shooting organizations I wonder if they would have enough following to keep the doors open. The internet has really hurt the small town newspapers and the Sporting magazines.

BRC for the Bench Rest crowd

6mmBR/Accurateshooting is a mix of shooting disciplines

Long Range dot com covers the Palma, Long Range Prone, Match Rifle, F-Class and the Service Rifle crowd

National match also serves the same crowd as Long Range dot com

Snipers Hide and Snipers Central have their own nitche

Long Range Hunting has its nitche also.

The Varmint hunters have several websites.

If I were an investor I would not be putting my money toward paper printed media. The shooting magazines are hurting and most have also gone to having a internet options.
