I have been using 31.5 grains of varget powder for over 8 years now in a bunch of different barrels and it has always shot well for my father and myyself.
The smallest lightgun group ever shot at 600 yards was done on the bench next to me same relay and the shooter(Bob Hoppe) was using varget powder.Once you get near the top end of pressure varget burns very cleanly but you need fireformed brass before you can go that hot.In the past you could take the brass straight from the box and load it that hot but not anymore.
The weather out here has been very unfreindly lately and I have yet to try out my 8208 powder.I plan on going sunday morning but I have planned on that many times unsucessfully recently due to rain or range closures. It looks promising from looking at Jonathans posts.

P.S. My keyboard needs replacing as the letters "H" and "V" no longer work on it.This post was done by cut copy and pasting all of those letters even the capitals. Its alot more work than it sounds.

I have and have had an infrared keyboard and mouse for months now I just could never get them to work. After the cut copy and paste debacle I had no choice but to install them as my hammer did a real number on the letter "H" when I was gently tapping on it and it wouldn't work.
I may have gotten a little frustrated after the 15th time loading the software and receiving a message saying no pointing device but that old keyboard developed a hammer shaped hole were the "H" was.If I didn't like Bob Hoppe so much the 1-24-10 story to the NBRSA Newsletter would have had his name as Bob Oppe and of course I would have put the blame on the printing company.
Luckily my IT girl was up late that night and figured out I needed a little square thingy on the back of my computer to accept the signal from my keyboard and mouse.I thought it was a keychain that you got when you bought the set but apparently it is needed.
