Question

According to the latest PS magazine PSL article the scoring is that the dot has to be hit to constitute a 100, it is also an X so why is this 2500 target not a 2500 25x?Is the article in PS just mistaken?

Mike,
No, the won't plug out if they're touching. It's a nice thought though. By "plug out, I should have said "gone". The dot needs to be gone when the plug is put in to score an X. Or that's the way I saw it. I only shot the first PSL match, so I definitely am not an expert. It's a good target, and I like it.
But if you look at all the targets ahnging there, there isn't a lot of difference in a good one and a great one. Just a thousandth here and there makes a big difference on the score, especially when you have several you thought were 100's turn out to be 50's.

Just curious...

Why is a target with ONE ring around a dot considered 100 points..
It just seems strange that you are scoring in huge numbers... that if reduced by ten would not change the overall score..meaning a 2500 would still be a 250...I didn't see any 2351, or 2219, or 2009 scores..:D
So why the huge 100 points per bull..??? What is the purpose..??

Good question

Eddie,

It is just the way it is done. We don't ask why. Why don't you come out and shoot 50/50 with us at San Angelo? It is a very simple game and we score your way. As good as you are at centerfire BR, I know that you would like Rimfire BR. It will make an even better shooter than you already are.

Concho Bill

Foot note: For those who do not know Eddie, he is a nice guy and a very good Centerfire Bench Rest shooter. He gladly helps other shooters.

I'm also interested in the equipment list. I was also glad to see you're going to list the payout for each match. Maybe a "year to date" too?

I did notice that Allan Hall won target #3 ($100) at the first match this year and he's not listed in the payouts.
Mike

Never mind. I just took a look at the Piney Hills payouts and I obviously don't have a clue how the money's paid out.
