Pencil Bluff, AR Spring Match

A question about

flag poles. Is the ground rocky and hard or good soil. How about height? Just trying to get an idea of what to bring.

Richard

Ground is good for spike poles but depending on how dry it has been may require a hammer, ( as much rain
as we have had recently probably not needed). Many, however, use flag stands. Stands close in will be 3-4 ft
and the most are 6-7 ft down range.
All matches will be shot at 200 yards and most use 5 to 6 flags. Morning will have sun in your face so many
use an umbrella or hang something from the roof in front of the line. Lunch is usually served ( $5 - $7 ) and
is really good! Soft drinks are also available.

I will be there Friday

hopefully mid-morning. Looks like some rain gear might be needed. Having never shot a match there I am looking forward to it.
