I had a problem with my Panda, and gave Jim a call from Australia, I explained my problem with the action and sent a couple of pictures to him.
Jim on the phone decided to replace the action for me as sending the action back and forth would be just a nightmare for me here in Australia, the reason for this e-mail is we are sooo far away from you guys it would be easy to forget my problem, Kelbly's have well and truely honoured their product with me, and I just wanted to let all you guys know and to also say thanks to the Kelbly's.

Why do you need to know what the problem was?

Looks like that was an issue between the action owner and Jim kelbly.

Well said Jerry.;) Good on the Kelbly's, they are good people and great to do business with.
As far as Jim's responce, that doesn't surprise me.

Why do you have to be such a grouch all the time Jerry? It's just a simple question with no malice involved. Sheessh.)chill(

If you have any involvement in fixing Barry's action, please state it. If not, the issue is between the action owner and the action maker.
This forum is not to air dirty laundry.

Can you explain why this should be only a good news place?
Don't ask me, ask the forum owner, Wilbur Harris. It's his policy.

Think about it Pete, benchrest is a close-knit sport. IMO, it has mostly one-person ownerships of small businesses that supply the specialized products we use..

If someone had it in for one of these benchrest product vendors he/she could destroy that persons business and lifes work by falsely posting damaging information about that person or product(s). In this close-knit community word would get around fast enough anyway if someone was ripping a shooter off.

Again, ask Wilbur.

The problem with this being a Good NEWS ONLY site is the folks who get shafter by some in the business never get heard, ergo others get the shaft as well. Communication should be a two way street. If someone complains about something, the offending person should have the Hutsba to step up and fix it. This doesn't happen often enough. It's as if Butter wouldn't melt in their Mouths !

Jerry,

no one ever DESTROYS anyones reputation with FALSE information!

Promulgating FALSE information DESTROYS the bearer of false informations reputation!!

You need to get some REST!!!

This thread has been changed from it's original intent.

Barry had a problem with an action talked to the manufacturer, who agreed there was a problem. The manufacturer then decided to send the owner a new action, which was seen as easier to do than negotiating all the paperwork involved to return the action to the USA from Aussie, fix it then return it to the owner in Aussie.

The fault doesn't come into it, Barry was pointing out how far the supplier will go to honour there warranty!!!!!!!

What more could you ask from a supplier.....Kelbly's are a top class operation with fantastic customer service.......not only to the local US shooters but also to the International shooters

Also this goes to show how hard the US government is making it for US shooting supply companies to carry out business at an international level, and how costly it is to honour warranties, so how long will it be before it just becomes too uneconomical to export out of the US and how many companies will close because of this..........Ian Owen

Goodgrooper, Pete Wass and Edwin. I do not see where any of you three have added anything worthwhile to this thread other than to agitate. Mr Owens has told all that needs to be told. Barry is pleased and all is well. Enough said please. No wonder so few national level benchrest shooters comment here anymore. That is a shame. :(

:D
I think Ian has said all that needs to be said about Barrys issue. Thanks Ian.

Edwin D, I'll determine when I need to get some rest, not you. In the meantime stay out of my face!!

Good Morning Jerry, how are things in your part of East Tennessee? Hotter then a popcorn fart over in my part of E. TN. I have to say that I always enjoy the wisdom and knowledge you add to this forum, and today you put a little chuckle in my throat. When are you shooting over at Oak Ridge next? Maybe I'll see you then.
