We held our first Tournament of the year today. Conditions started off today at 75 degrees and foggy and ended up at the end of the match 84 degrees wind was switchy 5-8 miles per hour. Thanks to everyone for coming. A big Thanks to the Guys for helping score and taking down the backers. Hope to see everyone again in July.

1st place Junior Nicholas Moore with a high target of 2275 and agged over 2000 Great shootin Nicholas.

Brian showed us how it was done today I must say that owensville gun club is one of the best if not the best shooting ranges that I've shot at.If your ever in the neighborhood I highly recommend you bring along your best shooten iron and try your luck ( as they uses to say in the old west)

Thanks Joe and Kevin I just had a very good day. I would like to congratulate Joe for his second place finish with an agg. over 2300 and Dennis Sallin for the third place finish they are both very tough competitors.
Joe I also agree with you Owensville is the best place I have ever shot at. Good shootin Brian
 
Honey Hole

Owensville Gun Club is what you would call a Honey Hole. This is a great plce to shoot some hight targets as you can see from our first three matches we have had there. Good shooting Brian and Joe and to Nicholas Moore a junior shooter for agging over 2000 for the match including a 2275 and 2250 for his hight targets. BIGROE
 
Congratulations Brian, those are great scores that you consistently shot and great shooting by the other folks as well. Is that Lapua or Eley ammo, both are making some very good ammo now.

I was shooting Eley Saturday. The top five shooters were all shooting Eley black box. I haven't tried the new Lapua yet but will most likely in the near future to see how it shoots. Good shootin Brian

I do believe you are going to be towards the top of the ARA charts this year the way you are shooting.

Put some heat on my buddy Joe Besche. ;)

What barrel and gun did you shoot these targets with if I can ask?

Brad I was shooting my Turbo with a Broughton 17 twist 5C Barrel and Black box Eley.
 
Roger Brock did the Barrel work and Tim Stamm did the Bedding
 
Brad the top three places were guns built by Roger Brock using Broughton Barrels.
Joe Besche was shooting his Anschutz with a Broughton 17 twist 5c Barrel.
Dennis Sallin was shooting his Swindelhurst with Broughton 16 twist 4 grove Barrel.

Those Broughton barrels seem to be very good barrels.

Roger Brock not only does great work but he is a great shooter and a really fun guy to visit with.I've been to his shop several times and always enjoyed it [well.......ok, the time i got the tick on me was not as good...lol]. Also those Broughton barrels are terrific as well! I shoot a Broughton 17 twist on a 40x.

A little late, but Brian,

I wanted to publicly congratulate you on your awesome shooting and 1st Place win at Owensville. Awesome Shooting! It looks like you've got it figured out! Congratulations!:)

We can't wait to get to our first match at Owensville. From what you guys have said, it sure sounds like a great place to shoot, and of course, a great bunch to shoot with! Hopefully, we'll make it to the next one.
