I'll probably take a spank'n for continuing to be what seems considered off topic, even though I think it's on topic. The 210 vs a 168 both run into the same troubles, just at differing mv's.
What you've seen at 600 doesn't really apply much at 1K. See, even at 2600 mv, that bullet going just 600 yards wont' approach the speed of sound. It's well over.
My rule of thumb has been for years that any bullet for competition should stay above 1450fps at the target. when they go a little slower than that and it gets windy, you sometimes get huge groups. it's also tough to score because small wind changes just make the group too big for you to know where it's center is.
Tell ya what, drop your 600 yard load down to where the bullet is getting to the target at 1450 or 1500 and see how it shoots. Now you know where a WSM shooter is at 1K when they back the load off a bit. It might shoot ok on a decent day, and it might shoot really bad on a not so nice day.
