Congratulations to a new shooter (Eric Gould) shooting small group at 200 yards.
Another new shooter (Greg Hansen) shot his first Benchrest centerfire match today.
He encountered a "SLAM FIRE" today but beginner luck it was on the sighter!!!
It helps to have a "Resident Gunsmith" at the match as Jim Carstensen fixed the Jewel trigger.
On the last relay of the day the Pickup truck the target crew uses decided the started had served it useful life. We shot carefully avoiding the truck, but we had to tow the truck back to the parking lot for future repairs.
It was a hot-humid day that only an Iowa cornfield could appreciate!
One has to love this sport to tolerate the discomfort one encounters participating.
Cant wait until July for next match!!!!!!!!!
