Hi all, I am new here. Once uppon a time I ran across a Oak cartridge Box on the internet. Now I can't seem to find it. Have anyone ever seen one of these. They hold about 20 rounds made of solid Oak with brass hinges.

Most boxes of the type you described are now made of solid high density plastic.

Go to the BRC homepage---accessories page and click on competition cartridge boxes.

Also, Sinclair has a similar box.

Reloading Box

Seb has them also.

Thank you Francis. Those that have the originals should put them on them fireplace mantel, as there probably won't be anymore. They've been copied many times over, still are, but never duplicated. Pumpkin must have half a dozen, all differant types of wood. Quite honestly, they were a labor of love.

Joe made one for me in 1997 from a gorgeous piece of walnut !
I never dared to take it to the range.
It's now seating on a shelf in my loading room, as a piece of art.

Thank you Joe !

P.S. Joe, will you bring the beer this year at the Super Shoot ? :D

Hello Pigman !
Good to hear from you for sure. Things are rather up in the air in my household. Altho my registration fee is in, my wife has since had a torn rotator cuff, and I have had dizzyiness for more than a week now. I am schedualed for an MRI tuesday. Puts me in kind of a pickle ( especially trying to get the registration fee returned in time. I will say that if I am there, you can be sure I will bring along the Heinekins for you and Carlos, ( and some 7 year old aged WISCONSIN sharp cheddar for Wilbur).

Mr Maisto- could you post a picture of the original wood boxes? I have a few that are nice and I figure they're the ones you're talking about. of course now I use the plastic ones but still have the wood ones incase I need to break em out sometime.

I would not worry about your registration fee if you have a real health issue, I certainly cannot speak for Kelblys but they have been known to return registrations fees even after the cutoff date for medical reasons.
