It was brought to my attention today after someone was trying to get reservations for the 4th and 5th of April for the Texas Showdown on the 5th & 6th. This weekend conicides with the NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway. The nearest motel with vacancies that fit their needs was in Gainsville. So, if you plan on coming to the match and need motel reservations get them soon. Here's the name & Number of that motel:

Comfort Inn 1-940-665-5000 I was told that the rate was $85.00 for a double/double if you tell them your ex, military otherwise it's about $115.00

Next year hopefully we can avoid repeating this.

Hope to see you there

James, Thanks for the heads-up on the room situation. I managed to get a room at the Super 8 in Gainsville. Not many rooms available. Rooms are a bit pricey.

It has been since the last Registered Match at Denton that I was there. Has anything changed to the extent that I will not be able to park my Motorhome where we normally do.........jackie

Jackie The parking is the same as before - TIGHT - but doable. The 30 amp electric will be on . As I see it 4-maybe 5 motorhome can squeze in, by the pistol. If we need to we can work some on 1oo yd range- but that require some long extention cords . We will work it out. I'll be at the range Thurs & Fri to help work it out. Bill

I was the one, (about five years ago), who placed that box there, and asked for the meter to be re-installed. Jerry Stiller was kind enough to see to it.
Many times, though, I have let other campers have the hook up, being as I have a big Diesel Generator in my Motor Home.
I hope to be there sometime Friday, at a decent hour. But as you know, how soon I get away is dictated on how soon I feel free to leave my shop........jackie

The plug that I installed should still be installed and I sold my motor home so I won't be using it. That can be used by someone.

Road into Denton Range

We only have 1 rd into the range right now -Bridges are being replaced on the 2 main entrances - so check NTSA web site as to which rd is open. Short note you must come in from Rt 35 and turn off Rector Rd . Bill

is there a place to park my 16ft loading trl and steal some small 110v power for lights? I don't need much voltage as I don't have an AC or anything. I can't reserve a room as the date is cutting too close for me to be able to commit to being there or not- I'll be waiting on GE to finish some work then skin out to get there:)

Place for loading trailer

Dusty We have a spot that you can park a trailer on the 100 yd range. You will need a 100 ft cord and if you don't have enough let know and I'll bring one. Bill

I think I can handle that. sure appreciate the hospitality. look forward to seein the folks I've met before and meeting the others.
