Do you speak to your subjects before or after a picture is taken?
What is the story behind the lady in the third picture?

If it is an individual shot as opposed to a crowd, I'll ask for permission, not always verbally but always understood.

The 3rd shot was a couple of weeks ago after the local Chumukla Redneck Christmas Parade. The local parades are usually New Orleans style in that the parade entrants throw goodies to the onlookers, including beads. This young lady had received a fair number of beads for some reason and was quite proud.

Other onlookers get beads too but not as many.

BTW, the bums in FLA dress better than working stiffs in the rest of the world!
