Nightforce Problem

Butch,
There are old posts on here about which scope is better, Nightforce or Leupold. And in the comments they mention the pros and the cons of each scope. If you refer to my original question, you will see that all I wanted to know was if cold temperatures could affect the scope and if anybody had the same problems that I had experienced today. I am in no way bashing the Nightforce scope or any of their products. I have really enjoyed this scope.

Trashing you say?

galold: You got off easy.Thank your lucky stars your post wasn't about a March scope. And , unless you deleted a post , i saw no trashing also. Some people on here are known to walk on water- Forgive them.

Perhaps not a problem

You may have lost count of the clicks or the already mentioned backlash is in play. "Clamp" the rifle in place and click the scope a bunch both ways to see if the cross returns.

No deleted posts, I usually try to avoid confrontation.........walk-on-water lol.

Galold,

Like some others have said, I would take it out once more and check everything thoroughly before sending it to Nightforce. What you descibed sounds a bit unusual but anything mechanical can break or something can come loose so it could be an issue with the scope.

Often times some of us don't convey what we would like in our written words and what people read and interpret is not what the writer intended. Good luck with getting the problem resolved. I know it's frustrating to spend a bunch of money and buy what you think is the best product money can buy and then have issues. Even the very best products including March and Nightforce can have issues so that's why warranty and how a company backs it's product is important.
