New website

How about postig: building the traveling storage box for my flags, some of us might like to build one for ourselves.
Thanks

Pickles,
I am working on my traveling box right now. I will post pics when i am done, which will be in a few weeks. Meanwhile, when i get home this afternoon, i will post the pics of the mounting system i came up with (with the help of David) and you will get a good idea where i'm going with the box.

Still not seeing the any links or info other than what's down the middle. I have checked this with four differnet computers at home an different work locations and servers.

Pickles,
Here are the transport flag holders I built after many emails back and forth with David. We both tossed out several ideas, and I just compounded them all into a design I knew I could build with my limited abilities and tools. The box will be 26 x 18 x 19 and have 4 compartments so that not only will my flag holders fit in there, but my flag poles, tent spikes, and rubber mallet fits also. I plan on making a 6”x3” section to hold the weighted balls in. I bought 2 tubes of tennis balls, cut the balls in half (not exactly half, but you get the idea) and placed the weighted balls inside the cut tennis balls, and then placed them back into the tennis ball tube for transport.
The transport holders are just made of 1x2 and 1x3 red wood (unfinished in the pics, but I plan on staining them the same color as the desk in the pictures). I took a ¼” router bit, and grooved a notch in the top of the holder so that the front brace on the wind flag sits right down into it. The holders have sides on them to help secure the flags from moving side to side or back and forth. The top will be approx 4” deep, and have 2” of very soft foam so that when the lid closes, the foam will also come into contact with the tips of the flags and this too will give support to hinder the flags from moving.
Below are some pics of the designs. I will post more pics of the box itself when I get farther along with it.

I THINK that maybe I have fixed the website. Need those of you who were having problems with it to check it out for me, please?

TIA

David

And Wes, looks like you are getting it done. Still think the outside of the box should be laminate, not stained wood. But looks GOOD

Pickles thats a really good idea for a post and I have searched for that many times. I like what I see BUT
Rather than Hijack this thread start a new one so when people search they will find it along with the fact that most have tired of this one and you willl not get near as many replies as if you start a new one.

P1 neat idea but I dont see them in any kind of realistic kind of transport mode except attached to a sheet of plywood in the back of a truck by themselves. which is not practical.
I know you have some really great ideas sooooo give us some more info.
And start a new post where others will actually benifit.
I want more of what willl be flag transport.

I will... I just changed a few things on my box design, so now I have to redo it. I will start a whole new thread when that is done.
