Just wanted to post that my dad and I have been trying our hand at br shooting after a long time plinking with .22's and his old 6mm Rem. We have gone through four firings, and are dialed into a good load.
The gun was smithed by Sid Goodling -30br diamondback/kostyshyn 1:17/jewel 1.5oz with a big sky 36x.
Granted it isn't going to win any grand aggs, but it was definitely a milestone for me...five groups under .250 and one at .17. This is the first season we are using windflags as well, and it was awesome to know that I "made" the group (especially the .17). The rest of the groups were at or just under .3.
I actually jumped up from the bench when I shot the .17 because I knew that everything just went right.
It is amazing to know that we have a gun that will shoot where you point it, and when the group opens up it is your fault. I have never experienced that kind of confidence before.
Much, if not all, of the information and advice I have gathered from this site, and I just wanted to say "Thanks"....my wife would rather not extend her thanks, but does so begrudgingly.
